La Palma Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Flavors in Hermiston

Great fun clean place & the food is awesome! The only complaint I’d have is the wait on drinks and paying take forever. So order 2 drinks at a time and ask for your check when you get the food, if you’re in a hurry. If not, good.

The chicken and beef is always delicious, juicy, and never dry. I've never eaten tough meat here. The meat is like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. However, I'm saying that the meats are always juicy, delicious, and melt in your mouth. That is why I like this place. The food taste fresh and natural.

Delicious food. Not a local but highly recommend. The atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. I tried their enchiladas with shredded beef and a hard taco. The price was as good as it comes with rice and beans. I also had their Horchata, the flavor was authentic. We went when they were busy and their service was welcoming. Very upbeat and diverse.

Arrived, it was “wait to be seated.” Waited about 4-5 minutes, was taken to a dirty table, took about 4 min to be attended ( I will say the staff was friendly). Salsa was very good ( if you get the chance, ask for salsa verde(add salt)). But then the food came out quickly, not bad, and when I took the first bite ( I inspected every piece of side), it brought back memories of when my abuelita made frijoles refritos and put them on tortillas de harina. It was amazing. I was mesmerized. I’m very thankful for the cook overall. I give it an 8.7 out of 10. Recommend. For those wondering what I ate it was a fajita supreme

This is a great place to bring your family. Their food is delicious with ample serving size. The customer service is wonderful. Prices are in line with expectations. Give them a try if you haven't already done so. If you have, go again!

Visited La Palma for dinner last night and will certainly be back. It is far from the best Mexican food I've had but it is well rounded and may be the best sit down spot for mexican food in Hermiston. The mole enchiladas were uniquely good in flavor but the sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to. The flautas were crispy, the chicken wasn't dry and the guacamole was fresh tasting and complemented them well. The best part was that with such excessive inflation on most prices, La Palma has stayed around $10-$12 for these dishes. My one real complaint is that the rice was disappointing with solid flavor but some dry or undercooked grains that threw off the whole dish when I encountered them. My impression was that it was not freshly made and probably reheated and old rice. My experience was teetering between 3 and 4 stars but with better rice that could have been pushing 5 stars.

Great spot every time. Their shredded beef and chicken are both amazing—full of flavor and consistently good. The service is always great, whether dining in or picking up to-go. Their cocktails are also excellent, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. I’ve eaten in and ordered takeout previously, and it’s been a great experience every time.
